Prague in 2 days

Click here for the German version

Last weekend I’ve been to Prague with my little sister and a friend of hers. We didn’t want to celebrate Carnival so we decided kind of last minute that we we’re going to Prague. We all never been  in Prague or the Czech republic so we wanted to check it out and thought, that would be the best moment to.

We started our way at 5 in the morning (and because we live in the westernmost part of Germany) it took us almost 9 hours to get to Prague. We stopped for coffee and breakfast, but it was still  a super long and exhausting drive. When we arrived, the the man on the reception desk was working a little slow, which was the reason why we got the keys to our room after 3PM. We waited almost for forever. We checked out the hotel and the pool and went immediately to the city. At first we didn’t know the way but well :D We went through a little castle which was leading us to a terrace with  an amazing view over Prague.

We just hang out in the city for a little while  and breathed some “prague” air and of course I took a lot of pictures. Prague and its houses are just beautiful and so colorful!

But it was getting dark soon, so we grabbed some yummy Streetfood before we were heading back to the hotel.
We ended our day at the Inside pool, which was great but cold!
All in all we walked 13.6 km (equals 8.4 miles) / and a lot of stairs- uurrgh

The next day started early again because had no time to loose and wanted to explore the city a little more. We went through the castle again, climbed the Petrin Tower (admission circa 5€, students get it for less) and enjoyed the view. I was a little disappointed cause you had no chance to go outside once you were at the top. (That picture was taken at the first level, not on the top)

Next stop: The John Lennon Wall, which I really wanted to see. It was great and we took a lot of awesome pictures.

We walked along riverside and enjoyed the (kind of) sunny morning.

After that we went to the so called “Dancing House”, which of course is famous for it’s special architecture.

We spend our afternoon sitting in a little Café drinking coffee and talking. It was great to have a little walking break because our feet really hurt.

When it was getting dark, I got excited because I got my three pot out of my purse and started to play with my camera. I was so impressed by all the lights and reflections that I couldn’t stop.

That night we took the bus back to the hotel, but we still walked 18.6 kilometers.

The next morning started early again since we wanted to stop in Dresden on our way home.
Unfortunately, there was a demo against Uber going on (which we didn't know). So we were stuck in traffic for two hours!! :(

But we enjoyed the last views of Prague!
